“Cheers. To good times.” you say as you and 3 other friends bring your Coronas in as part of the tradition.
“To good times.” you all declare in unison while stand ready on the beach to celebrate the advent of everyone’s favorite season.
Everyone takes a swig. The party has begun.
As you finish your sip, you look across the beach and waters, right into the vanishing point.
Things are happening around you. But you’re just content standing there and looking into the distance. But as you do, vibrant electro music kicks in and slowly gets louder and louder until it becomes impossible to ignore.
You break your gaze and hear your friends’ banter.
There they are – laughing like bunch of idiots. And you’re missing out.
Or are you?
Tropical beach, sick music, good friends, and lots of booze.
“Summer is here.” you think to yourself.
You let off a slight smirk and slide your sunglasses down.
It’s time to get to it.
You take another swig and think about all the things to look forward to.
All of your favorite artists coming to town to rock your summer with some of the best tunes you’ve ever experienced.
All the crazy late-night adventures you’ll find yourself in.
All the new, interesting people you’re going meet.
There’s so much that’s waiting.
You’ve felt this before. Every time summer starts.
This is a very special and precise feeling.
Whenever summer starts, it feels like you don’t even care about the past like you normally do. All you care about is the exciting potential of the future.
This is the greatest feeling. And it’s all yours.
“Summer is here.” You acknowledge silently to yourself as you join your friends.
It’s that time of year again. And if you’re reading this, you’re probably like most people and looking to get the right ideas in place for Mother’s Day. Valentine’s Day aside, no other day requires as much thoughtful planning as Mother’s Day. So if you’re going to do it, you should do it right.
Admittedly, everyone is quick to jump on the idea of looking for Mother’s Day gift ideas. Of course, flowers, chocolates and a really stylish pair of sunglasses are mandatory staples amongst whatever else you end up settling on.
We’ve put together a guide that’ll allow you to express your appreciation in a thoughtful and unique manner. Doing so will grant you and your mother a very sincere and memorable Mother’s Day 2017.
- Mother’s Day Brunch
Most moms love to cook. And whether or not yours has a history in obsessing over your wellbeing, you’d be well off in making sure she isn’t doing any work on this occasion. One of the best ways to address this is by taking your mother out to brunch. It’s a very sweet and thoughtful gesture to start the day with. Indeed, having a nice brunch meal on a terrace while with sunny skies really gets things started on the right track. If you haven’t done so already, make sure to hand her a pair of beautiful sunglasses. That way, you can both enjoy a genuinely good time in style. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
- A Walk in a Familiar Park
A nice little waltz after eating is the ideal next step. Walking in the park while enjoying the ambiance is a very nice little next step after brunch. Ideally, you want to take her to a park she used to take you to when you were a lot younger. The idea of things coming full circle may not be outright expressed, but it will certainly be felt through this. Once again, you can enjoy this earnest moment in style without worrying about the sun if you’ve done your part well.
- End it with Ice Cream
There is no more satisfying way to end a Sunday than to enjoy some ice cream as the sun sets.
Mother’s Day gifts aren’t just in flowers, chocolates and really sleek sunglasses. Although if you did deliver on those, you’d still be ahead of the curve. But you’re better than that. Because of course you’re looking to give your mom the best gifts. So naturally, you’ll want to give her the most important gift of all – memories. We hope you and your mother enjoy Mother’s Day 2017 in style.

Midnight’s close. Looking across the curtains of this window, only to find the howls of a harsh and violent wind and mountains of snow that consume the parked cars, with only a portion of the wheel to be spotted. Not a soul found on the street. The only car that’s moving has a Domino’s sign on top. Poor fella. I suppose it could always be worse. Although it’s hard to appreciate it when you’re at home, scrolling across your Instagram, only to find the pictures that are trending in popularity. Nothing from your part of the globe.
You’re in your room.
Looking at yourself in the mirror.
You look pretty damn good.
Today’s going to be a good day.
You look to the window.
You lift your hand up and look at the tickets.
You can’t stop looking. There’s a kid breakdancing across from you on the subway. You’re hiding behind your cheap sunglasses, so no one can tell you’re watching. But of course, you don’t tell people they’re cheap. They’re vintage sunglasses, if anyone asks. You’re entertained, but you can’t stay. You’ve got to go meet up with a friend. You step out and make your way out. You walk into a field filled with gardens, flowers and water fountains. You see people walking their dogs and a couple kissing on a bench. This is it. This is Central Park. People of all walks of life come to enjoy this serene space. As you walk, a kid calls after you. He asks you if you want to buy some M&M’s. Of course you do. So you send him off with a few dollars and throw in a red and yellow one into your mouth.
